When We Are Closed
For the out of hours service, please telephone the usual surgery number, 0844 5560011 or 0121 453 3584 (the machine does not take messages). You will be offered an option to transfer your call to the out of hours service. This service is for medical emergencies only.
Telephone advice, an appointment with a doctor, or a home visit will be offered.
This service is intended for emergencies, or problems that cannot wait until the next morning surgery. Medical advice is also available from NHS Direct Online (see below)
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
