Appointments with partnering practices
Your appointment may be with another practice in the area and may not be at your registered practice. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR HEALTH RECORDS – If you choose to use these services healthcare professionals will find it very helpful to have access to your GP records to provide you with advice.
This is known as data sharing and allows clinical staff to help you more safely and quickly without having to ask a lot of questions. If you choose to access these services, on every occasion you will be asked if you consent to sharing your health record with the health professional dealing with your concern. Your health record will never be shared without prior explicit consent. If you provide consent your GP health record will be viewed through a secure computer system.
If you have any concerns and do not wish for your health records to be viewed for this purpose then you have the right to refuse consent.
