Your prescription will be ready to collect 2 working days after the request is submitted.
Telephone requests will not be taken, other than for housebound patients. We are unable to accept verbal requests for repeat medication. This is for safety reasons, as verbal requests can lead to prescription errors.
Redditch and Bromsgrove Clinical Commissioning Group are currently restricting the issue of certain medications - there is a link to their website which contains more information - please visit: http://www.redditchandbromsgroveccg.nhs.uk/news/new-prescribing-policies-in-worcestershire/
The aim is:
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
Prescription costs as of April 1 2012
PPCs are available by 10 monthly direct debit instalment payments. The prescription prepayment certificates allow anyone to obtain all the prescriptions they need for £2 per week.
Find out more about the prescription prepayment certificate.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 2 working days, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
